BACK TO YOU.....RESUME 1

Here we are, still alive.... back to your grasp to know about us.....(perhaps)
Almost one month of silence because of the network connection, which still does not improve...but today we can make some update.

Many and many are the stories to tell...but let us start from the point where we are.
Presently in Namibia, in a luxury campsite at Swakopmund.

We left you on the coast of the Pacific and now you find us on the coast of the Atlantic...amazing isn't it?

In breve....dal Pacifico all'Atlantico, a Swakopmund.

We decided to cut short our big trip and pass along Zimbabwe instead of coming up from South Africa.

We left the real African wilderness of Zimbabwe just few days ago and already we feel lonely without the evening visit of the honey badgers, the elephants and the hyenas, but for this just wait the next posting.....from now on we return to the beauty of the landscape only.....

SOME STEP BACK.....UN QUEI PASS INDREE'

PANGANE - RESIDENCIA ANOS AZUL
END OF JULY

Pangane one of the most beautiful beach along the Mozambique coast.

Ugo has been able even to walk on the water surface!!!

PEMBA

Nice camping..full of South Africans....left very soon, time is getting short.

HILA DE MOZAMBIQUE
1st of August we are in one of the most interesting towns visited in Mozambique.
Beautiful, intriguing, enchanting, culturally rich, very friendly people and a lot of kids all over until late night.

A small Venice, though missing the channels and often the bricks of the old colonial houses.

THE ZAMBEZI RIVER

Some time ago, still in Mozambique at Caia.
A short trip along the Zambezi river is just giving us a slight idea of what we will soon see and experience.

It's here in Caia that we decide to change our itinerary...thanks to John and his wife, met at the camp site, whom suggested us the route and the good places of Zimbabwe.

Anyway with more safe means of transport!!

THE DRY SEASON IN AFRICA

The popular idea according to which Africa is a dry continent it is very wrong. Especially it is not completely correct to state that during dry season, severe drought occurs.
The rainfall patterns of Mozambique indicates that all over the Country the amount of rain between June and September does not exceed the 40 mm per month.
The area of Beira is the second driest of the Country.

This is Beira, in the morning of the 4th of August.

and this is Caia campsite, a day before.....

On the road, trying to escape the bad weather

It has been raining for three consecutive days, just a bit more than the average three driest month all in once.

Like chamaleon we hope for the best of the next days and cannot do anything else than waiting for the sun to shine back on our wet and cold miserable souls!

This is a very important information for Felix....at Beira, we did the service as prescribed....all right!

GORONGOZA THE NUMBER ONE (US)

Believe it or not...only the records of the Gorongoza National Park can prove it...we were the number one for the game drive at 6.00 in the morning!!!!
Unfortunately Gorongoza still need to be refurnished with wildlife...however, beautiful scenaries!

CHIMOIO JUST BEFORE THE BORDER...AND STILL NO OTTERS!!!

No otters, not even here in a large damn dam!!!

But for Ugo is better, at least he got his Chura!

bye to the very next!!
