THE LAST SHOTS

Passata Lusaka, l'attraversamento dello Zambia è rapido ed indolore.....

Passed Lusaka, the crossing of Zambia is fast and plain.

 The mixes of reds and greens will accompany us up to the border.

Tough the woodland yet look productive.......charcoal production in Zambia appears the highest in the whole trip (with and estimated average density of 1 charcoal selling spot every 1 km)

Ci fermiamo un'ultima notte a circa 300 km dal confine Tanzano in una farm esageratamente bella e grande ed è qui che ci ammolliamo in una pozza di acqua sorgiva a 40° C.....!!!!!

We stop one last night in another beautiful place at about 300 Km from the border at Tunduma.

Here in this farm we have the chance to bath in a 40° C pool and enjoy the landscape (with otters...that I do not see!!)

Interesting piece of African industrial hystory...the first tractor imported from England...

The day after is Tunduma.....and than after that is Mbeya for the night.

Il giorno dopo si parte per Tunduma, città di confine e poi via verso Mbeya per fermarci la notte.

Such a sad arrangement for the Camping....as we were used to much nicer places....however we were proud to take the position of the chop chop.

Il campeggio è una triste realtà di una cultura turistica assolutamente diversa da quella alla quale ci eravamo abituati....

quanto meno ci siamo messi al posto dell'elicottero!

And Tanzania appears to our eyes bared, and rather overexploited.

Most of the trip on the way back home, we look at the landscape and the people noticing the differences with the southern african countries visited along this trip.......

E la Tanzania ci appare denudata della sua vegetazione e piuttosto sovrasfruttata. Lungo tutto il tragitto di rientro non possiamo fare a meno di confrontare questo paesaggio e la sua gente con quanto abbiamo visto durante il viaggio negli altri Paesi.....

The trip is over......now we are back home...at least, back to the African home in Arusha (Tanzania).

Non poteva mancare l'ennesimo contributo alle Forze dell'Ordine, nonostante il nostro massimo impegno Caterina è caduta nuovamente nella trappola!!

Admission of guilt... again

Il viaggio è dunque terminato....ritornati a casa ad Arusha...qualche giorno di ri-organizzazione e poi via che si parte per la casa “Madre”.
